The Umbrella-seller Storyteller opens and closes her umbrellas - opening with a story of the sea and sand, and closing with a visit to the moon and stars.
She invites us into her imaginative world of light and shade by drawing with pen, sand, and water, where we join the reluctant Brolly in her adventure through a world of umbrellas, painted with light, as she searches for her brave face. Along the way we meet the Umbrella bird who lives in the Trouble Tree and finds an unusual solution for Brolly’s worries.
There will be gasps and giggles in this meandering adventure, with an underlying theme of searching for confidence.
Remember the Umbrella is a delightful, original combination of storytelling and visual theatre using shadow puppetry, as well as live music and song and gentle audience participation, and is a one-woman show for children by artist and musician Su Eaton.
For ages 4-7. Baby friendly performance at 11AM on Sunday 13 May.
