A Golden Opportunity

This exhibition offers some glimpses into the role that gold has played during the Bank’s long history and the Bank’s role in relation to gold today. Children of all ages can enter our gold quiz competition with prizes to be won, and then make a gold-bar-shaped money box to take home. There will also be special lunchtime presentations about gold in the Museum cinema at 1:15pm.

During the school summer holidays (23 July – 31 August) the Museum presents A Golden Opportunity, a family event to complement the special exhibition Gold and the Bank of England. This exhibition offers some glimpses into the role that gold has played during the Bank’s long history and the Bank’s role in relation to gold today.
